Sony BDP-S560 Review — (go wireless with your Blu-ray)

In early 2009, Sony released the BDP-S560 Blu-ray. There is a profile 2. 0 players support Bonus View / playback picture in picture and BD-Live content. It has a Quick Start mode, which enables Blu-ray to get started in seconds. It can support high resolution audio formats and has a 802nd 11n for wireless internet. It is basically a step above the entry-level BDP-S360 Blu-ray. BDP-S560 has an attractive design with a glossy black exterior and hints of dark gray on top and bottom of the player. Open / Close button is located on the top left corner and open the front dark blue reveal the disc tray. The switch is on the opposite side, near the window. Other controls are limited to reading the play and stop buttons. Therefore, the distance will not be necessary for the functions most reading. A USB port is located near the lower right corner of the player. All connections are behind the Blu-ray. Video Quality: The BDP-S560, a number of video connections. They include an HDMI output, video output, S-Video and composite video. It supports 1080p/60 and 1080p/24 resolutions via HDMI. This will give you the best possible picture when playing Blu-ray and DVD. DVDs are also extended to the level closer to high definition via an HDMI connection. In addition to the three types of noise reduction, you have to choose between three preset picture modes. They are standard, brighter rooms and a cinema. BDP-S560 also xv Colour and 24p True Cinema features. X c / output color allows AVCHD format discs while delivering twice the color as much as the sources default RGB color, producing more spectacular images. The 24 True Cinema features, you can see a movie as it was originally intended to see, at 24 frames per second. Sound Quality: The BDP-S560 Audio outputs include HDMI, optical and coaxial digital and 2. 0CH analog outputs. It has internal decoding and bitstream audio output for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. This means that Blu-ray player can decode these high-resolution audio formats, or you can pass these formats via HDMI to your AV receiver to decode. Unfortunately, the BDP-S560 has no analog audio outputs multi-channel, so that an HDMI connection is necessary to pass decoded high-resolution audio formats. A major advantage of the BDP-S560, which sets it apart form othre entry level players, is its wireless function, it supports the 802nd 11n/g/b/a frequencies and eliminates the need to use a cable to connect to the Internet. Of course, an Ethernet port is available if you can not use the wireless feature. When connected to the Internet, you can access BD-Live content, you can find on the Blu-ray selected. BDP-S560 has no internal storage memory and a USB device is required if you download a BD-Live content. A USB port on the back and front of the reader. Front USB port will support playback of photo, but not music or movie playback. This applies to all DLNA-compatible devices, such as a computer. Images can be streamed from the PC to Blu-ray, but no music or video files can be streamed. FOR: Sony BDP-S560 has a great visual quality and supports 1080p/24 playback on Blu-ray. It has internal decoding Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The HD can be transmitted as bitstream via HDMI. There is a profile 2. 0, so that it supports BD Live and Bonus View content. Access to these functions is easier with built-in capabilities of Wi-Fi wireless (802nd 11a/b/g/n). And it can post photos from DLNA-compatible devices. In addition, a Quick Start mode, which means that most Blu-ray to get started in seconds. THE CONS: Unfortunately, the BDP-S560 is no multichannel analog audio outputs. If you have more than one A / V receiver, look where. No internal memory as a USB device is required to download the BD Live content. DLNA function does not support streaming music or video clips. The final word: Sony BDP-S560 has the same great features of a good player Blu-ray. He 1080p/24 output, giving you a high quality image. It has internal resolution audio decoding and high-Wi-Fi. It has no functionality of broadcast media offers no other Blu-ray. If you can ignore this lack of services for streaming media that the BDP-S560, with its support for Wi-Fi and DLNA streaming pictures, would make a good choice. — The price you should look for when buying — under $ 250. 00
